who we are

Piemonte Share is a platform linked to art and creativity in digital culture, born from an original idea by Simona Lodi and Chiara Garibaldi. Our activity is carried out through “The Sharing” association (founded 2003), which has many active partners in the dissemination and promotion of digital art, new media art, interaction design, interactive digital installations, arts and robotics and web-cinema.
For the past six years we have developed popular events, productions and research initiatives dedicated to the creativity that combines art, interaction design and web-cinema with technological innovation in order to be a factor of cultural growth and economic development.

OBJECTIVES
Piemonte Share’s goal is to create real opportunities (exhibitions, events, workshops, seminars, productions) for the development of knowledge and creativity in digital culture, the growth of research and innovation in the field of visual arts, interaction design, internet, mechatronics, IT, graphic design and interactive installations.
Promoting activities that have as their goal the enhancement of the possibilities relating to knowledge and practical skills of individuals, artists, designers, graphic designers, advertising and video makers, engineers, computer scientists, experts in online communication, using new media, digital, mobile telephony, robotics and the Internet as an expressive language, such as local and global resources for the development of innovation and creativity.

PROGRAMMATIC LINES
The planning of our activities take into account that this is the European Year of Creativity and Innovation (Share Festival has joined the European program) which marks the centenary of Italian Futurism. This year is also particularly marked by a deep financial and economic crisis. All situations which stimulate reflection on the relationship between the visual arts and innovation, the avant-garde art, and sudden reversals on global and local scenarios, therefore the theory of chaos and opportunities that such contexts provide. We are also active in projects that support and disseminate the collaborative art which develops open-source ethics, crowd sourcing (activities of networked collaboration and social networks) and application of Creative Commons for intellectual property and distribution rights in the network content authorship. The analysis and study of changes in the system of art (galleries, museums, exhibitions and type of audience) in the light of the interactivity of digital and new media will be discussed in the blog section of our site.
In 2010, in perspective of ESOF (European Science Open Forum) in Turin and its appointment as the capital of young people, Piemonte Share focuses its activities on the artistic experiments that, starting from digital languages, will touch on art / science - from bio-art to hybrid-art - to the dissemination of scientific culture through the hybridization between the artistic languages, technology and biology. In addition, special attention will be given to art projects dedicated to the theme of environmental neutrality and zero impact.

2011 will develop central themes such as identity, democracy, language in the global era and bridging the digital divide within dissimilar territorial, ethnic, and generational realities, and how the Internet is used as an essential tool for overcoming the major differences between regions, between the mountains and the city, between the old and the new world, new people with the aim of increasing awareness among citizens and territorial cohesion and promote democracy.
