In May 2004, the US artist awoke one night in his home to find his wife had died of heart failure. He immediately called 911. Police found his art installations and samples of harmless microbes, but security paranoia in the United States led the police to call the FBI. The federal police arrested Steve Kurtz on the charge of bioterrorism. Director Lynn Hershman Leeson takes us on a surreal journey based on the artist’s life, through art, government, comedy and paranoia.
